System

Mode

Switch between Basic, Advanced and Custom.

File Transfer

Transfer files between the MixPre and a host computer.

USB Audio

Switch between Normal or Stereo Out. The Stereo Out option allows you to set the USB Audio interface to output only 2 channels in
order to increase compatibility with applications that do not support multichannel USB audio.

USB-C (MixPre-3 II and MixPre-6 II Only)

Switch between Power only or Audio when using with a USB-C power or audio source.

Limiters

Set limiters to off, factory, or custom.

Bluetooth

Switch Bluetooth on/off.

NOISEASSIST (Plugin Required)

Activate and setup NoiseAssist routing.

Wingman Password

Set a required password for the Wingman app.

Brightness

Adjust the brightness of the touch screen and the ring LEDs.

Date/Time

Set current date/time and format.

Tune Crystal (MixPre-10- II Only)

Fine tune the internal crystal frequency to an external word clock or LTC signal via BNC In.

Regulatory

Provides full Federal Communications Commission (FCC) compliance information.

Version

Provides the model type, current firmware version, and serial number.

Update Firmware

Update the firmware from a file on the SD card. The latest firmware can be downloaded from the Sound Devices website:

www.sounddevices.com/support/downloads

While updating firmware, power the MixPre via:
-USB-C on the Mixpre-3, -3M, -3 II, MixPre-6, -6M, or -6 II
When powering via USB-C from a computer, it is best to set Menu>System>USB-C to Power Only.
Use the included Hirose power supply for the MixPre-10T, -10M, or -10 II.
Fully charged batteries are also acceptable on all models.
Do not perform the update with unstable power sources.
Firmware updating is prevented if battery level is low.

When upgrading to firmware version 7.0 or higher from any version lower than 6.0 the firmware installation process needs to be
completed twice. After the first installation is complete, the MixPre II prompts you to start the second installation process.
