COMMS AND RETURNS
Setting up COM Send Program
By default, the L and R stereo bus is sent to the COM Send output, a TA3
connector located on the back of the 664. However, a different program may be
routed to the output instead.
To change the program going to the COM Send output:
1. Press the MENU button.
2. Turn and press the Headphone encoder to select COMMS/RETURNS > Com
Send Program. The Com Send Program screen is displayed.
3. Turn the Headphone encoder to scroll the orange highlight through source
options. Options for the left side differ from what is available for the right
side of COM Send.
4. Press in the encoder to change the selected source between Off (black) and
On (blue).
5. (Optional) Slide the A B/C switch right to toggle mono or stereo COM Send.

Using the Slate Mic for Notation
On the 664, the slate mic signal is routed to all outputs and tracks, and all pro
-
grams routed to them are muted when slate is activated.
The following procedures describe default behavior of the MIC/TONE switch;
however, it may be modified to behave differently. See
To activate the slate function momentarily:
1. Slide and hold the MIC/TONE switch left. The slate mic activates, the Slate/

2. Release the MIC/TONE switch. The slate mic deactivates, the Slate/Tone
LED turns off, and the headphone monitor reverts to its previous source.
