How to Use
Enabling/disabling use of location information
Set permission to use your current position information from the GPS function or wireless
network (Wi-Fi) with applications that use location information (Google Maps, etc.).
1.
Tap the
(Menu) button with the Home screen displayed, then tap [
Settings] - [
Location & security].
2.
To set the wireless network, tap [Use wireless networks]. To set the GPS function, tap
[Use GPS satellites].
Use of location information is enabled/disabled each time you tap the setting.
Note
Move your “WALKMAN” as little as possible in an area where there are no tall buildings
and trees around until the present location is displayed by the GPS function. The
present location can be displayed quicker when stationary than while moving. If the
present location is not displayed or if the wrong location is displayed, move your
“WALKMAN” to an area where there are no tall buildings and trees around.
You can reduce battery consumption by turning off the GPS function when not using that
function.
