Configuring Your Modem
Follow the steps below to make the settings before using the built-in modem.
Features and options may not be available on your computer.
See the specifications to find out about configuration of your computer.

Control Panel

in the upper right corner of the window.

Phone and Modem
.

Enter the required information, and then click
OK
.
The
Phone and Modem
window appears.

Select your location on the
Dialing Rules
tab and click
Edit
.
The
Edit Location
window appears.

Select your location under
Country/region
.

Tone
or
Pulse
for
Dial using

Pulse dial may not be supported in some counties or regions.

Enter an area code (if there is one).
In some countries or regions, you do not need to enter an area code.
If you need to dial a special number before accessing an outside line, enter the number for both
