Upgrading Your VAIO Computer

About hard disk drive recovery

When you replace the original hard disk drive, the preinstalled VAIO Recovery utility cannot restore the drive partitions,
operating system, or original software programs. Before replacing the hard disk drive, create a VAIO Recovery Media Kit or
purchase a kit from Sony.

System or Application Recovery CDs are not supplied with your computer. Use the VAIO Recovery utility to restore the computer's operating system
and preinstalled software programs.

To start the VAIO Recovery utility

Click Start and point to All Programs and VAIO Recovery.
