Using your notebook

Using the modem

Your notebook is equipped with an internal modem. 
You need to connect to a phone line to take advantage of online services and the Internet, as well as to 
register your computer and software online, and to contact VAIO-Link.

To connect a phone line, proceed as follows:

1

Open the flexible compartment cover (1) pulling it down carefully.

2

Plug one end of the phone cable (2) into the phone line jack on the computer.

3

Plug the other end into the wall jack (3).
