To coarsely adjust the color balance beyond
the current range, increase the current [Bal
Step] value.

Repeat steps 2 to 4 in “Adjusting the color
balance” (page 61) to make a printout.

Select the most appropriate image from the
printed images.
If there are no appropriate images, repeat
steps 1 and 2 until you have obtained the best
color balance.

Specifying colors for adjustment
Use the HSV function to select a specific color
within printouts for adjustment. You can specify
red, yellow, green, cyan, blue, or magenta for
adjustment.
This function does not affect black and white data.
In addition, the results of color adjustment will not
be reflected on the video monitor.
If you capture the adjustments to memory, they
are retained even after the printer is turned off,
and will continue functioning at these settings
until new adjustments are captured to memory.
Before performing HSV adjustment
In the [Monitor Color Tone] tab of the [System
Setup] menu, set the values for all colors ([Cyan-
Red], [Magenta-Green], and [Yellow-Blue]) to “0.”
Note
If black and white data is changed due to color or
color balance adjustments, the adjustments of
this function may affect the picture quality.

Display the [Color Correction] tab of the
[System Setup] screen, use the

to select [HSV], then press the
button.
The [HSV] screen appears. The highlighted
area on the image will be printed for adjusting
HSV. You can move this area.
Note
If the layout was set to two or four reduced
image display, the page on which the pointer
was positioned will be displayed at full-size
image.
