Hiding the Screen
Display on the Video
Monitor
You can hide the screen display in order to see
images hidden underneath setting information
displayed on the video monitor. The printer
operation is the same even when the display is
hidden. In this case, check and perform
operations using the printer window display.
For detailed information on displaying the ink
ribbon type and the remaining amount of the ink
ribbon, see “Displaying the ink ribbon or printer
setting information” (page 71).

Press the DISPLAY button.
The current setting appears. The normal
screen appears after a few seconds.

Select [Off].
If you press the DISPLAY button while the
information in step 1 is displayed, [Off]
appears.
Each time you press the DISPLAY button, the
setting switches between [All]
[Ribbon]
[Off].
To restore the screen display
Press the DISPLAY button and select [All] or
[Ribbon].
To set the screen display from the menu screen
In [Information Display] on the [Output Setup] tab
of the [User Setup] menu, you can hide setting
information and configure settings to show the
ink ribbon type and remaining ink ribbon. The
setting of the DISPLAY button also changes
according to menu settings.
When you want to hide a menu screen
You can temporarily hide the menu while holding
the DISPLAY button down regardless of DISPLAY
settings.
