8.6.3.2. Element address assignment page
The Element Address Assignment Page indicates the assignment of Element
Addresses supported by the autoloader. The Element Address Assignment Page
also returns the number of each Element Type supported by the autoloader.
This page (Element Address Assignment Page) also returns page data in
response to a request from the host during Becoming Ready.
Table 8.6.3.2.1 : Element address assignment page
A Parameters Savable (PS) bit of 1 indicates that there is a function to save this
Mode Page in non-volatile memory. Because the data in this Mode Page is
fixed, the PS bit is always 0.
The First Medium Transport Element Address field indicates the Address of the
first internal autoloader Medium Transport Element. (Normally, the address of
the Medium Transport Element is 0.) In the case of the autoloader, this is 00h.
The Number of Medium Transport Elements field indicates the number of
Medium Transport Elements internal to the autoloader. In the case of the
autoloader, Because the autoloader has one Medium Transport Element, this
field is 01h.
The First Storage Element Address field indicates the Address of the first
internal autoloader Storage Element. In the case of the autoloader, it is 01h. The
Number of storage Elements field indicates the number of internal autoloader
Storage Elements. In the case of the autoloader, it is 08h.
The First Import Export Element Address field indicates the Address of the first
internal autoloader Import Export Element. Because the autoloader is not
equipped with Import Export Elements, it is 00h. The Number of Import Export
