Compatible Cartridges
The AIT cartridges that can be used with this system’s AIT library are listed
below.
AIT Cartridges
The AIT library for this system is equipped with an internal AIT drive, and can
use the AIT cartridges below. For information on storage capacity, refer to
“Specifications” in the appendix (page 74).
Cautions
• Do not use anything but AIT cartridges with this system. Although
commercially available 8mm video tapes resemble AIT cartridges in
appearance, they have entirely different specifications and cannot be used.
• Be sure to use barcode-labeled cartridges with this system. We recommend
that you use the barcode labels supplied with the AIT library, because the
system may not read the barcode labels from other manufacturers correctly.
Also, refer to “Optional Accessories (Not Supplied)” (page 76) in the
appendix for the product number required to purchase additional barcode
labels.
• You cannot change a barcode label once it has been used.
Cleaning Cartridge
Use an AIT cleaning cartridge when cleaning the AIT drive.
Cautions
• Be sure the cleaning cartridge is inserted in the last slot of each AIT library.
For the LIB-162, this is slot number 16.
• The type of cleaning cartridge for your AIT drive may vary depending on the
model of AIT drive you are using. Make sure to use an AIT cleaning cartridge
that is compatible with your drive.
• A cleaning cartridge also requires a barcode label.
