PHONES Menu
The PHONES menu allows you to select the channels
to be monitored via the PHONES connector on the
front panel.
When the PHONES menu is displayed, you can
monitor the sound from any channel to assign it.
When the PHONES menu is not displayed, the channel
to be monitored depends on the mode assigned on the
PHONES menu.
The following four modes are available:
• AUTO-ST
• AUTO-MONO
• FIX-ST
• FIX-MONO
FIX and AUTO modes
• FIX mode
Always outputs the sound of the channels specified in
the lower row of the PHONES menu.
• AUTO mode
The sound of the channel to be monitored is
automatically changed according to the menu
operation.
— When the PHONES menu is displayed: The sound
of the channel specified in the lower level of the
PHONES menu is output.
— When the ROUTING menu is displayed: The
sound of the channel over which the cursor is
placed is output.
— When the MIC AMP menu is displayed: The
sound of the channel currently being set is output.
— When menus other than the ones described above
are displayed: The sound of the last channel
monitored is output.
STEREO and MONO modes
• STEREO
Adjacent odd and even channels operate in stereo
mode, and the signals are sent to the L and R
channels of the headphones.
• MONO
Outputs the sound of the same channel to the L and R
channels of the headphones.

MODE display
Displays and selects the mode.

Monitor channel display
Displays and selects the channel being monitored or to
be monitored.
The information displayed consists of identifying
INPUT and OUTPUT, slot number, and channel
number.

Push the PHONES button.
The PHONES button indicator lights up and the
unit enters the PHONES menu.

Specify the mode.
Move the cursor to the upper row and select the
mode using the +/– buttons.
