Firmware Update

Update the firmware using the Utility software.

Tools

Personal computer (PC)

The latest Utility software (including the latest firmware)

•

USB cable (supplied with the unit)

Preparation

Prepare the latest Utility software. It includes the latest firmware. For obtaining the latest Utility software,
contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center.

Note

Install the latest Utility software in the PC before updating the firmware. For details, refer to the
Operating Instructions.

5-1. Checking the Firmware Version

Procedure

1. Connect the PC to the unit and start the Utility software. (Refer to the Operating Instructions.)
2. Display the Update Firmware menu.

The serial number of the connected unit is displayed. If two or more units are connected, they are
listed in the alphabetical order of drive letter.
