Connecting two VAIO-notebooks
If you have
Windows
®
2000
installed on your machine:
You can connect your notebook to another VAIO notebook using an i.LINK
TM
cable (1) (not supplied). With
Smart Connect on your notebook, you can copy, edit or delete files on another VAIO notebook that is also
equipped with Smart Connect.
You can also print a document on a printer connected to another VAIO computer.
If you have
Windows
®
Millennium Edition
installed on your machine:
You can connect your notebook to another VAIO notebook using an i.LINK™ cable (1) (not supplied). With
Smart Connect* on your notebook, you can copy, edit or delete files on another VAIO notebook that has
also Windows Millennium Edition installed or that has Smart Connect 3.0.
You can also print a document on a printer connected to another VAIO computer.

When you use Smart Connect to connect two VAIO computers, you must assign each computer a unique name by which it can be identified when the
two computers are networked.
