Inserting and Removing Cartridges
Registering in the Database
After inserting a cartridge and closing the I/E tray,
information about each cartridge is automatically
registered in the library database. The database registration
may take some time to complete if inserting multiple
cartridges.
Once the cartridges have been registered in the database,
they can be accessed for operations from the upper-level
application.
Removing a Cartridge in an
Emergency
Use the following procedure to remove a cartridge when
the library power supply is off.
1
Check that the power supply is turned off.
If the following procedure is performed with the
power supply turned on, the cartridge transport
mechanism may be damaged.
2
Remove the screw from the top panel of the library
using a coin or similar object.
3
Insert a screwdriver or other thin object in the screw
hole, push down on the release lever, and pull the I/E
tray out.
4
Remove the cartridge.
5
Reattach the screw that you removed in the top panel.
