Connecting the AC power
adaptor (remote control)
The remote control is not fully charged when you
first unpack it after purchase. Make sure to fully
charge the remote control before using it.

Connect one end of the AC power
adaptor to the DC IN jack of the
charger and the other end to a wall
outlet.

Place the remote control on the
charger.
When you place the remote control on the
charger, the CHARGE indicator lights up and
charging starts. The CHARGE indicator turns
off when the remote control is fully charged.

About automatic demonstration
When you charge the remote control,
demonstration images will appear on the display
60 seconds after charging starts. (By default, the
display on the remote control lights up and the
demonstration images are displayed when the unit
is turned off.)
To cancel the demonstration, see “Cancelling
automatic demonstration” (page 24).
Notes
Do not try to change the built-in battery by yourself.
If you experience a problem with the built-in battery,
contact your nearest Sony dealer.
Battery installed devices should not be exposed to
excessive heat such as direct sunlight, fire, or the like.
Using an iPod
Insert an iPod dock adapter into the iPod dock
before use. The iPod dock adapter is not supplied
with the unit. Use the iPod dock adapter supplied
with your iPod. For details on the iPod dock
adapter, refer to the operating manual of your
iPod.
To remove the iPod dock adapter,
pull it up with your fingernail or
a flat object using the slot inside
the adapter.
