To obtain the best possible surround sound, set
the speakers you have connected and their
distance from your listening position.
Then use the test tone to adjust the volume and
the balance of the speakers to the same level.
Setting the speakers

The Setup Display appears.

Select the item to be returned to the default
setting and press CLEAR.

SIZE
When you do not connect center, surround
speakers or sub woofer, or you move the
surround speakers, set the parameters for
CENTER, SURROUND and SUBWOOFER.
Since the front speakers setting is fixed, you
cannot change them.
The default settings are underlined.

Notes
• When adjusting speakers, the sound may cut off for a
moment.
• Depending on the settings of other speakers, the sub
woofer may output excessive sound.
• When connecting a sub woofer, make sure to set the
“SUBWOOFER” setting to “YES”. If set to
“NONE”, no sound is output from the sub woofer.
• When you play a DVD that does not have sub woofer
output recorded, note that no sound is produced from
the sub woofer, even if “SUBWOOFER” is set to
“YES”.
