You can adjust the sound by raising or lowering
the levels of specific frequency ranges, then
store up to three USER EQ in the memory.
Before operation, first select the audio emphasis
you want for your basic sound.
Use buttons on the unit for the operation.

Press EQ BAND/MEMORY repeatedly
to select a frequency band, then turn
l L
to adjust the level.

Press and hold EQ BAND/MEMORY.
USER EQ number appears.

to select USER EQ 1 – 3
you want to store the equalizer setting.

Press EQ BAND/MEMORY.
“COMPLETE” appears.
This setting is automatically stored as the
USER EQ you selected in step 3.
Other operations
You can enjoy karaoke (singing along with a
disc) by setting the system to karaoke mode.
You can connect the optional microphone(s) to
the system.
Setting the system to karaoke
mode

Press
DISPLAY.
The Control Menu appears.

Turn MIC LEVEL on the unit to MIN to
turn down the microphone control
level.

Connect a microphone to MIC jack.
Karaoke mode is automatically activated
and “
m
” appears at the upper right of TV
screen. You can also activate the Karaoke
mode by pressing KARAOKE MODE,
without connecting the microphone(s).
For DVDs or Super VCDs, press AUDIO
repeatedly to select the audio setting
(page 35).
For CDs or VIDEO CDs, the audio setting
automatically switches to “1/L” and the
singer’s voice turns down. If the singer’s
voice does not turn down, press AUDIO
repeatedly to select the audio setting
(page 35).

Turn MIC LEVEL on the unit to adjust
the microphone volume.

Turn ECHO LEVEL on the unit to adjust
the microphone echo.

Press AUDIO repeatedly to select the
audio setting.

To cancel karaoke mode
Disconnect the microphone(s) or press
KARAOKE MODE repeatedly until
“KARAOKE MODE: OFF” appears.
