You need to connect a video game player (see
“Hooking up optional components” on page 66).
Press GAME on the unit.
The last selected preset effect from GAME
category is automatically selected.
Tips
• You can also press FU/– repeatedly to
select “GAME”.
• If you press GAME on the unit while the system is
turned off, the system turns on automatically and
GAME is selected as the function. This operation
cannot be performed in the Power Saving Mode
(page 60).
You can mix the sound from the component
connected to the GAME INPUT jacks with
another function.

Each time you press the button, the level of
the game sound changes cyclically as
follows:

Notes
• When GAME MIXING is activated, the sound field
is changed to LINK if the current sound field is SBS
MULTI, A.F.D. AUTO, PRO LOGIC, PLII MOVIE
or PLII MUSIC.
• When GAME MIXING is activated, the sound field
is changed to HP 2CH if the current sound field is HP
VIRTUAL.
• Game Mixing is canceled when you press REC
PAUSE/START on the unit.
• The unit output the video signal from the GAME
INPUT jack through the VIDEO OUT jack only
when Game Mixing is activated. To view video from
GAME INPUT jack when Game Mixing is activated,
connect the VIDEO OUT jack of this system to your
TV and select the video input of your TV.
• Game Mixing does not function during CD Synchro
Recording.
• During Game Mixing
,
when “TAPE A” or
“TAPE B” function is selected, you will not hear any
sound from GAME INPUT if you use the AMS
function.
Tips
• To record the mixed sound, press GAME MIXING
on the unit after step 4 and before step 6 of
“Recording on a tape manually” (page 48).
• The GAME MIXING indicator lights up in the
display when Game Mixing is activated and it will
remain active while the system is turned on even if
the function is changed.
