MASM-1 is a free software application that performs setup and controls operation of
one or more MAS-A100 units remotely via a network.
Do not use multiple instances of MASM-1, or use the web UI of the MAS-A100
concurrently with MASM-1 to perform setup and operation of the same MAS-A100
unit. Unexpected results that prevent setup and operation of the MAS-A100 according
to this document may occur.
MAS-A100 discovery and IP address setting
Discover and set up the MAS-A100 units connected to the network and initialize them.
1.
Open the [Register] tab of MASM-1, and press the [Scan] button.
Dante Controller discovers MAS-A100 units on the same segment (same layer 2
network).
Notes
MAS-A100 units beyond the router or layer 3 switch cannot be discovered.
When performing remote management across a router, connect the remote
management PC to the same segment, register the unit, and then reconnect
the computer to the management segment.
If no MAS-A100 is discovered after pressing the [Scan] button, check the
network connection and firewall settings (see “4.3 Network design” (page 23)
section).
If multiple network adapters are operating, MAS-A100 units may not be
discoverable.
2.
From the list of discovered MAS-A100 units, place a check mark beside the
MAS-A100 units to register in MASM-1.
Change the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway of the MAS-A100 units
so that the MAS-A100 units are on the same subnet as the PC and the IP address
can be accessed from the PC.
Do not configure an IP address already configured on another device.
If already on the same subnet as the PC, there is no need to change settings.
3.
Press the [Set] button.
The IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway of the selected MAS-A100
units are applied. Proceed to the next step.
