Conducting a Conference Without the
Picture – Voice Meeting
Using the Video Communication System, you can conduct a conference only
through voices via a normal phone without connecting the videoconferencing
system.
(Voice Meeting)
Basic connecting procedures are the same as those for videoconferencing.
Conducting a voice meeting with a remote party not registered for One
Touch Dial or in the phone book
Set “Line I/F” to “ISDN(Telephone)” in the launcher menu or Detailed Dial
menu.
During the Voice Meeting, the “Voice Only” indicator is displayed.

Phone Book Using the Detailed Dial Menu” on page 91.
To register a remote party for a Voice Meeting
Set “Line I/F” to “ISDN(Telephone)” in the List Edit menu displayed from the
Phone Book menu.

64.
To set the audio compression format
Select the audio compression format by setting “Telephone Mode” in Page 4
of the Dial Setup menu.
When set to “Auto”, the audio compression format is selected automatically
according to the ”Protocol” setting in the ISDN Setup menu.
(When “Protocol” is “Euro ISDN”, for example, the G.711µ-law format is
selected.)
You need not set the audio compression format when receiving a call from the
remote party.
