• Sounds cannot be recorded
• [SMTH SLW REC] settings are automatically
canceled if you turn the power off and back on.
• The shutter speed is automatically set to 1/215
even if you set it to a speed slower than 1/215.
• The recording time may be shorter than the set
time, depending on recording conditions.
• The image quality is lower than with the regular
recording.

When you set [CNTRST ENHCR] to [ON],
high contrast images, such as backlit scene
images, are detected and unexposed
shadows of the images are automatically
reduced (the default setting is [OFF]).

• When you set [BACK LIGHT] to [ON],
[CNTRST ENHCR] is temporarily turned off.
You can shoot progressive movies with a
vertical resolution of 1,080 lines.

Select to shoot 25 frames per second,
which is the same as cinema films.

ON/OFF
You can compensate for camera shake (the
default setting is [ON]). Set [ON/OFF] to
[OFF] (
) when using a tripod (optional),
then the image becomes natural.
x TYPE
You can select the type of the SteadyShot
function that compensates for camera-
shake.
HARD
Select to activate the SteadyShot function
with stronger effect. This mode is not
recommended for recording with camera
pan, tilt technique.

STANDARD
Select to activate the standard SteadyShot
function.
SOFT
Select to activate the SteadyShot function
so that it leaves a slight unsteadiness on the
picture so the picture looks natural.
WIDE CONV.
Select when a wide conversion lens
(optional) is attached. This mode is the
most effective with Sony VCL-HG0862K
wide conversion lens.
x ON/OFF
You can display the color bar or record it on
the tape by setting to [ON]. It is convenient
to adjust the color on the connected monitor
(the default setting is [OFF]).
