Notes
If a client connects to the unit while the unit is
analyzing audio data, the analysis stops. Analysis starts
again when the client has stopped accessing the unit.
The server function temporarily stops when the unit is
— recording or importing audio data (including timer
recording),
— transferring audio data,
— editing data (including manual analysis of audio
data for “SensMe™ Channels”),
— converting audio format,
— importing audio data from a computer*

— updating the system*

— changing the display design*

— moving audio data from the unit to another

If you cancel the operation by pressing
and
the unit changes to the quick start-up standby
mode (page 125), the server function will remain
suspended.
To check the server settings
When a client cannot connect to the unit, check
the unit’s server settings.

Enter the Settings menu and select
[Server setting].

When [Server function] is set to
[Stop], select [Start] from the pull-
down menu.
To change the server name
Select [Server name] and enter the new name
in the text input display.
To disable automatic connection by
clients
When [Auto permit to connect] is set to
[Execute], audio data in the unit may be
played by a third party. To disable automatic
connection by clients, set this parameter to
[Not execute].

Select [Close].
Note
If the client is set to disallow connection to the unit, it will
not be able to connect to the unit even when the [Auto
permit to connect] setting of the unit is set to [Execute].
In this case, select [Manual setting] and set the client to
[Permit] to allow the connection.
To set the connection status of a
client
Access to the unit can be allowed or disallowed for
specific clients.

Enter the Settings menu and select
[Server setting].

Select [Manual setting].

Select the client and select [Permit]
or [Reject].
Repeat this step to set other clients.

Select [Close].
To register a client manually
When the unit is unable to recognize a client
automatically, you can register the client manually.
For details on the MAC address, refer to the
operating manual of the client.

Enter the Settings menu and select
[Server setting].

Select [Manual setting].
A list of connectable clients appears.

Select [Add device].

Select [MAC address], enter the
address, and then press ENTER.
The MAC address should consist of 12
characters (0 to 9 and A to F).
To change a client’s name
Select [Device name] and enter the new name.
