Erasing tracks on the “WALKMAN” or the USB
device
You can erase tracks on a connected “WALKMAN”
or USB device from this unit.
Note
Make sure not to disconnect the “WALKMAN” or the
USB device or turn the power off until the erasing has
completed.

Press WM-PORT/USB to select the
WM-PORT/USB function.

Connect a “WALKMAN” or a USB
device with the tracks you want to
erase.
When erasing tracks on a “WALKMAN”
Do one of the following.
Connect a “WALKMAN” to the WM-
PORT on the top of the unit (page 28).
Connect a “WALKMAN” to the (USB)
port on the front of the unit.
When erasing tracks on a USB device
Connect a USB device to the (USB) port on
the front of the unit.
Make sure the “WALKMAN” or the USB
device is firmly connected.

Press OPTIONS.

to select “Erase”, and then
press ENTER.

to select the item to be
erased, and then press ENTER.
To erase the entire contents of the
“WALKMAN” or the USB device:
Select “All Erase”.
To erase a folder:
Select the folder, and then select “All Track”.
To erase one track only:
Select the folder that contains the track you
want to erase, and then select the track.

Press
/
to select “OK”, and then
press ENTER.
To go back to the previous state
Press BACK.
If you select “Cancel” in step 6, the display returns
to the status of step 5.
To cancel erasing
Press
.
It may take a while for the cancellation to take
effect.
To remove the “WALKMAN” or the
USB device from the unit
Press and hold
until “Device Stop” appears in
the display, and then remove the “WALKMAN” or
the USB device from the unit.
Notes
The program is cleared when you erase any of the
programmed tracks on the “WALKMAN” or the USB
device.
If there are invisible files in a folder, the folder cannot
be erased even if you select “All Erase” or “All Track” in
step 5. (The tracks in the folder will be erased, but the
folder will remain.)
