2-2.  HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT FOR ULTRASONIC MOTOR

Equipment and Tools

•  SSM height adjustment jig
•  SSM height ADJ harpoon jig
•  SSM height adjustment measurement jig
•  Adhesive bond (B-10)

Preparation

1.  Remove it to the 3rd Group Assy (9139) referring to the 

“

2-1. DISASSEMBLY

”

, and set it to the half completion state.

2.   Remove the Stator Screw Ring (9139) and the Pressure Spring.

Adjustment Method

1.   Set the SSM height adjustment measurement jig and SSM height adjustment harpoon jig on the Pressure Plate (9139).
2.   Set the weight on the both side of SSM height adjustment harpoon jig so that the following condition is satisfied.

1400g = SSM height adjustment jig + SSM height ADJ harpoon jig + Weight

3.   Position the SSM height adjustment measurement jig to the inside of SSM height adjustment jig and adjust the dial to

Here to put the weight 
(Both ends evenly put it)

4.   Remove the lens from the SSM height adjustment measurement jig.
5.   Remove the SSM height adjustment measurement jig and SSM height adjustment harpoon jig.
6.   Attach the Stator Screw Ring (9139) and the Pressure Spring removed at Step 2 of preparation.

Note 1:

  Be careful the gap of the seat and the bite of the Pressure Spring.

Note 2:

  To perform the ultrasonic motor height adjustment, do not fully tighten the Stator Screw Ring (9139).

7.   Set the SSM height adjustment measurement jig on the Stator Screw Ring (9139).

8.   Position the SSM height adjustment measurement jig to the center of height adjustment jig (cap), and adjust the Stator Screw Ring 

(9139) to satisfy the adjustment value.

Adjustment value: 3.5 

±

 0.05 mm

9.   After completing the adjustment, apply the adhesive bond (B-10) to the groove of Stator Screw Ring (9139) which is not concern to the 

groove of Straight Fixed Barrel (9139).
