You can record a whole CD on an MD. You can
select the recording time by switching the
recording mode.
In addition to recording at normal speed, you
can also record at high speed (approximately 4
×
normal speed).
Open the lid before performing the following
operations.

Load a recordable MD.

Press FUNCTION on the unit
repeatedly to select DVD.

Load a CD you want to record.

Press REC MODE on the unit
repeatedly to select the recording
mode.
Select the desired recording time.

Press SYNCHRO MODE on the unit
repeatedly until “CD
t
MD SYNC?”
appears.
To record using High-Speed CD-MD
Synchro Recording, press the button until
“HISPEED SYNC?” appears.

Press ENTER/START on the unit.
“NORMAL SPEED” (or “HIGH SPEED”
for high-speed recording) appears, then
“Press START” flashes.
The MD deck stands by for recording and
the DVD player pauses for play.

Press ENTER/START on the unit while
“Press START” flashes.
Recording starts.
When the recording is completed, the DVD
player and the MD deck stop automatically.

To record using the Group
Function
Press MD GROUP on the remote repeatedly
until “GROUP ON” appears after step 3. Press
GROUP SKIP on the remote repeatedly until
“New Group” or the desired group appears after
step 6.
To record only your favorite CD
tracks
You can record only your favorite CD tracks
using the Program Play. Between steps 3 and 4,
perform steps 1 to 5 of “Creating your own
program” (page 19).
Synchro recording from various
discs
• For DVDs: Synchro recording is not possible.
Perform manual recording (see page 42).
• For Super Audio CDs: Synchro recording
(digital recording) of CD layers is possible
just as if it were a normal CD.
• For video CDs/MP3s: High-speed CD to MD
synchro recording is not possible.
Recording automatically switches to normal
speed synchro recording (analog recording).
• Video CDs: PBC playback is automatically
released.
Notes
• You cannot pause the recording.
