4-4. Overall Electrical Alignment
Adjustmnet procedures:
1. Adjust the automatically the white balance.
WHITE BAL switch (on the side panel)

2. Open the iris control of the lens by two stops against
the reference setup (corresponding above A).
3. Select the 15 lines in the center of the monitor screen
by using the 15 LINE SELECT on the waveform
monitor.
4. Set the menu as follows.
MENU : Paint
PAGE : Video Level (P1)
ITEM : Flare (G)
5. Confirm that the level at portion B does not fluctuate
even if the flare is turned ON or OFF. If fluctuates,
turn Flare ON and adjust by Flare (G).
6. Flare (R) Adjustment
Set the menu as follows, and adjust the Flare (R) by
turning the MENU SEL switch.
MENU : Paint
PAGE : Video Level (P1)
ITEM : Flare (R)
Specifications : Minimize the carrier leakage.
7. Flare (B) Adjustment
Set the menu as follows, and adjust the Flare (B) by
turning the MENU SEL switch.
MENU : Paint

ITEM : Flare (B)
Specifications
: Minimize the carrier leakage.

8. Repeat the steps 6 and 7 alternately, until the carrier
leakage is minimized.

Extend VA-163 board with an EX-464 board.

Adjustment procedures:

2. Set the RGB/ENC switch (on the side panel) to ENC.
3. Set the GAIN switch (on the side panel) to M (9 dB).
4. Set the WHITE BAL switch (on the side panel) to
PRST.
5. Set the menu as follows.

6. Connect the oscilloscope to the TP52 (GND:GND
(A))/Extension board extending VA-163.
