files
If you connect the IC recorder to your
computer, you can see the structure of
folders and files on the computer screen.

Notes
• You can record messages in up to 5 folders
(
, , , ,
or ) using the IC
recorder.
• The IC recorder does not recognize the
folders transferred from your computer.
• You cannot copy 511 or more folders
(except VOICE folders) or files to the root
directory that is located immediately below
“
IC_RECORDER” on the computer. This
is due to FAT file system limitations.
• You cannot always transfer all files or
folders, depending on either the number of
characters you use in file or folder names, or
the operating system.
Disconnecting the IC
recorder from your
computer
Follow the procedures below; otherwise,
data may be damaged.

Make sure that the operation indicator
does not light.

Perform the following operation on your
computer.
On the Windows screen, left-click the
icon at the bottom of the desktop of the
computer.

Left-click “Safely remove USB Mass
Storage Device.”
The icon can be different on different
operating systems.
On the Macintosh screen, drag the
“IC_RECORDER” on the desktop to
“Trash” and drop it there.
For details on disconnecting the IC
recorder from your computer, refer to the
operating instructions supplied with your
computer.
