RF Port Plug Removal
If the outer base cover is removed from the phone
, the easiest way to remove the RF port plug
by pushing the portion of the plug that protrudes into the outer base cover’s inner area back
through the hole in which it protrudes. To remove the RF port plug in this way, removing the
rear speaker module from outer base cover is recommended, if it is present.
If the outer base cover is not removed from the phone
, perform the following procedure to
remove the RF port plug.
Tools needed:
•
Style 2A ESD tweezers (Blunt tip)
•
No disassembly required
Step-by-Step Instructions
NOTE! Be careful not to scratch or damage the outer
base cover when removing the RF port plug.
1.
Insert the tip of one side of a pair of style 2A tweezers
between the RF port plug and the outer base cover.
2.
Press the tweezer tip towards the hole in the center of
the RF port plug while lifting up on the plug. The RF
port plug should come free from its hole in the outer
base cover and can then be set aside.
