6.8.1 Full charging of storage system (day before)
On a full charge the display of the charge state calibrates. Meaning that after a full
charge the displayed charge state corresponds precisely to the actual state. So you
should fully charge the storage system on the day before the planned battery
extension. On storage systems operated together with a PV system it is best to
fully charge at approx. 15:00 h. Normally the storage system will have a high level
of charge at this time. So for a manual full charge little energy has to be drawn
from the public grid.
Proceed as follows to start manual full charging:

Navigate to Function page.
►
Press Charge then Auto.
You need not fully charge manually if the storage systemwas already fully charged
in automatic mode on this day.
6.8.2 Charge to 85 %
Normally the charge drops below 85% during the night. In the morning hours of
the day on which you plan to add battery modules the charge has to be increased to
85 %.
Proceed as follows:

Navigate to Function page.
►
Press „Charge, then Standby“.
►
Navigate to the start screen to observe the change of charge state.
►
Deactivate charging at 85% (+/- 3 %) by pressing „Standby“.
6.8.3 Installing battery modules
►
Shut down the storage system.
►
Install the battery modules as decribed in section 6.7 (pg. 56).
