6.8 Installing the battery modules
CAUTION
Improper handling of battery modules
Emission of toxic substances!

Do not open battery modules.
„
Do not damage the battery modules.
• Correctly installed battery modules are completely controlled by the storage system.
They cannot be switched on and off manually.
6.8.1 Positioning the battery modules
• The battery module connections must face right in each case.
If just two battery modules are installed, they must always be mounted with the
spacer plate on the top battery shelf.

Place the two battery modules one in front of the other on the top shelf of the mount-
ing frame.
The spacer plate is mounted on the battery modules using two battery screws, two washers
(plastic) and one contact disc from the installation equipment pack.

Use the battery screws to fasten the battery modules to the mounting frame.

Mount the spacer plate on the battery screws.
„
Place one contact disc between the right-hand lug on the spacer plate and the cap nut
of the battery screw. The lug has an earth symbol on it.

Place one washer (plastic) each between the spacer plate lugs and the battery module.
„
Tighten the nuts for the battery screws with a torque of 6 Nm .
The front battery module is battery module 1 and the back module is battery module 2.
