Connecting to the Switch

To add Switch to a network without a DHCP server:
1 Make sure you have set a Static IP Address on your system’s Ethernet adapter. See
above.
2 After logging in, to
System>Network
and click on
Action
.
3 In
IPV4 SETTINGS
, select
Static.
Check that Address and Subnet Mask are correct.
4 Click
OK
to update the system.
When the IP is set to static, add a default route manually to access the switch from external network.
Navigate to
Network > Routing
to establish a static route.
Connecting via the Console Port
Follow these steps to connect with the Command Line Interface for the switch.
Refer to
locate the console port.
To Connect to the Console Port:
1 Locate the DB-9 to RJ45, serial cable that was shipped with the Switch and connect it from a PC to the
leftmost port labeled console on the Switch.
