INTRODUCTION
3.2.1
GENERAL
Section 3 provides checklist and amplified procedures for coping with
emergencies that may occur. Emergencies caused by aeroplanes or engine
malfunction are extremely rare if proper pre-flight inspections and maintenance
are practised. However, should an emergency arise, the procedures described in
this section should be considered and applied as necessary to correct the
problem.
In case of emergency the pilot should remember the following priorities
–
1
Keep control of and continue flying the aircraft.
2
Analyse the situation.
3
Apply applicable procedures.
4
Inform air traffic control of the situation if time and conditions permit.
