une procédure de test
des piles
«
BATT TEST
» démarre.
Le but est de forcer l’utilisateur d’une Chronis RTS
d’équiper l’appareil avec des piles neuves bien
chargées pour atteindre une autonomie maximale
d’environ 2 ans.
Cas n ° 1: Les piles sont complètement
chargées.

Après l’insertion des piles, l’écran LCD affiche
«
BATT TEST
» pendant environ 2,5 secondes, ce qui
indique que la procédure d’essai des piles est en
cours d’exécution.
Après la réussite de ce test, «
0:00
» clignote sur
l’écran LCD de la Chronis RTS.
Régler ensuite l’heure (et la date), comme expliqué
dans les manuels d’utilisation respectifs.
Cas n ° 2: Les piles sont faibles

» clignote en
permanence sur l’écran LCD.
Il peut arriver que pour une période très courte
«
BATT TEST
» s’affiche, puis «
bAtt FAIL
» clignote
sur l’écran LCD.
Seule l’insertion de piles neuves permet de
sortir de cet état.
Astuces
Si les piles sont retirées pendant l’exécution de
la procédure de test des piles, la procédure est
interrompue de sorte que, après ré-insertion
des piles, «
bAtt FAIL
» clignote sur l’écran
LCD. Même si les piles sont bien chargées.
Préconisation
: Retirez les piles à nouveau, puis
les remettre en place.
L’écran LCD affiche «
BATT TEST
» pendant environ
2,5 secondes puis «
0:00
» clignote sur l’écran LCD.
Lors de l’insertion de piles
ou lors du retrait de la
languette isolante

, une
perte de contact peut se
produire avec les piles.
Ceci interrompt la
procédure de test des
piles, alors «
bAtt FAIL
”
clignote sur l’écran LCD. Cela peut se
produire même si les piles sont bien chargées.
Préconisation
: Retirez les piles puis les remettre
en place.
L’écran LCD affiche «
BATT TEST
» pendant environ
2,5 secondes puis «
0:00
» clignote sur l’écran LCD.
Si pendant le fonctionnement normal, la
tension des piles chute anormalement, une
réinitialisation automatique sera générée, suivi
d’un redémarrage du Chronis RTS.
Ce redémarrage commencera avec la
procédure de test des piles.
Si une «tension trop faible» est détectée, la
Chronis RTS n’effectue aucune autre action et
«
bAtt FAIL
» clignote jusqu’à ce que les piles
soient complètement vides.
Préconisation
: Retirer les piles faibles et les
remplacer par des piles neuves. L’écran LCD
affiche «
BATT TEST
» pendant environ 2,5 secondes
puis «
0:00
» clignote.

Extra information
As soon as you have put the batteries into the
Chronis RTS ( start / restart ) a
battery test
procedure
“
bAtt tESt
” will start.
The aim is to force the user of a Chronis RTS to
equip the device with “fresh” well charged batteries
in order to achieve a maximum autonomy of about
2 years.
Case 1 : Batteries are fully charged

After insertion of the batteries the LCD will show
“
bAtt tESt
” for a period of about 2,5 sec. which
indicates that the battery test procedure is running.
After successful completion of this test the
Chronis RTS will start with “
0:00
” blinking on the
LCD.
Then you can set up the time ( and date ) as
explained in the respective user’s manuals.
Case 2 : Batteries are weak

After insertion of the batteries the LCD will show
“
bAtt FAIL
” blinking permanently.
It may happen that for a very short period of time
“
batt tESt
” will be displayed and then the LCD will
change to “
bAtt FAIL
” blinking.
To quit this state, the only way is to insert well
charged batteries.
Hints
If you take out the batteries whilst the battery test
procedure is running, the procedure is interrupted
with the result that after re-insertion of the
batteries “
bAtt FAIL
” blinking will be displayed.
Even if the batteries are well charged.
Remedy:
Take the batteries out again and then
insert them again.
The LCD will show “
bAtt tESt
” for a period of
about 2,5 sec. and then “
0:00
” blinking.
When inserting the
batteries or when pulling
off the insulating

strip
there may occur a
bouncing of the battery
contacts. This will
interrupt the battery test
procedure, leading to
“
bAtt FAIL
” blinking.
This may happen even if the batteries are
well charged.
Remedy:
Take the batteries out and then insert
them again.
The LCD will show “
bAtt tESt
” for a period of
about 2,5 sec. and then “
0:00
” blinking.
If during normal operation the battery voltage
drops too much, an automatic reset will be
performed, followed by a restart of the control.
This restart will begin with the battery test
procedure.
If “voltage too low” is detected, the Chronis RTS will
not perform any other action and stay “
bAtt FAIL
”
blinking until the batteries are completely empty.
Remedy:
Take out the weak batteries and replace
them by new well charged ones. The LCD will show
“
bAtt tESt
” for a period of about 2,5 sec. and then
“
0:00
” blinking.
