SkyWay-GB-R  Quick Start Guide

1.  Identify Component & Determine Polarization

2.  Antenna Mount Assembly & Fiber Cabling

•

Items in red are not supplied in the standard radio package. The user may
purchase them as options from Solectek or provision them on their own.
(power supplies are included with radio units).

•

Antenna polarization must match on both sides, as shown below.

Refer to your antenna manufacturer’s installation
guide to perform the following:
1. Assemble the antenna mounting hardware.
2. Mount the antenna to the mast.

V 1.1

1. Remove protective cap and/or tape from an-
tenna & radio ports before mounting the antenna.
2. Apply DOW Corning 111 lubricant onto rubber
Oring on antenna feed.
3. Firmly press Radios onto antenna feed.
4. Be sure to evenly tighten and torque (15ft/lbs)
the four bolts attaching the
radio to the antenna for perfect mating.

Fiber Cabling

1. Install SFP modules in radio
with duplex MMF or SMF fiber
from the radio to the network
termination equipment. The cable
should be looped around the in-
side of the enclosure to provide
strain-relief.
2. Connect fibers at the network
equipment.
