Inadequate Ground Securing: PAM Panel Damage
The images below illustrate damage that may occur if PAMs are deployed with inadequate
ground securing. The arrays are lightweight and have large surface areas, making them
ideal to catch wind; they can easily become airborne projectiles. All parts of the array and
stand are flexible and are susceptible to damage due to torsional strain (the presumptive
cause of the damage shown below) as well as impact. Damage could also occur to the
Power Hub 2400 because the PV arrays are attached via the Solar Leash.
