System Setup
Chapter 4
To set up the receiver for a stop-and-go/kinematic survey, follow
these steps:
1.
Mount the receiver on an adjustable rover pole.
2.
Attach the data collector to the mounting bracket.
3.
(Optional)
If the system is to remain standing, attach a bipod
to the pole.
4.
Measure the height of the receiver from the ground (see
Section 4.4,

Press the power button to turn on the receiver. The receiver
will initialize and issue a “Receiver Ready” message or
sound when it completes.
6.
Use the receiver’s display panel LEDs to monitor the survey.
For example, to verify that the data is being recorded to file,
ensure that the memory gauge is flashing (see Section 3.3.3,

Use
Bluetooth
communication to connect the data collector to
the receiver. Refer to the

Reference Guide
for details.
