Displaying the piece weight
Query the piece weight in counting mode by pressing the INFO button and then
the count button. Return with the On/Off button.
The display mode of the weight value and reference piece weight can be
recognised in the display by the triangle at the REF symbol.
Change from counting mode to weighing mode with the CL button (if the CL
button is activated in the setting mode) or with the On/Off button.
Piece count totalisation
In counting mode, press the Plus button to store the counted value in the total
memory.
Total memory by pressing the Plus button.
A filled total memory can be recognised by the total symbol (Σ).

Reference optimisation
The automatic reference optimisation gradually improves the average value of
the part weight and thus leads to a more accurate count quantity determination;
the function is active in the factory setting.
The function of the (automatic) reference optimisation is carried out in such a
way that further applied counting parts are used for the calculation of the
reference weight. A maximum of twice the number of counting parts from the
last reference weight determination is possible for a new optimisation.
Automatic reference optimisation is carried out when the scale stops and is
signalled acoustically by a beep and briefly in the display with rEF-oPt.
This process can be repeated in several steps.
The settings for automatic reference optimisation are made in the setting mode
(470.702.126 user mode 3820) UCAL 8 Pos 01, item 02 and item 05.
Add - Mode
The Add mode leads to a more precise determination of the counted quantity;
the function is active in the factory setting.
In the Add mode, the scale terminal checks whether the total weight of the
reference parts is less than a minimum reference weight. The minimum
reference weight is calculated by multiplying the smallest numerical increment
of the scale by the setting „Minimum reference weight“ in the setting mode.
(value between 1 and 100 digit steps (d), default setting is 10 d).
If the weight falls below the minimum reference weight, the scale terminal
requests the required number of pieces until the minimum reference weight is
reached by means of the Add mode.
