HOW TO DRAW A LOAD FROM ABOVE
Slowly move the machine forward, lifting the forks so
that they're positioned on the vertical of the point
where the load must be picked up. Fully penetrate the
load with the forks until the machine is rested against
the load. Raise the boom as little as necessary and tilt
the forks back (transport position): the angle of the
forks must be sufficient to stabilise the load preventing
it from moving forward in the event of sudden braking
during transport. Reverse with the machine and lower
the telescopic boom.
Lay a load on its side perform the same operations in
inverse order.
Attention! When picking up a load positioned up high, in order to place it in another
equally high location, it may be tempting to make the move, especially if the journey
is short, without lowering the load and then moving with the boom extended and the
load at the top.
Don't do it! Even a small movement, especially on uneven ground, carried out with or
without the load at the top can cause the machine to sway and possibly overturn (also sideways).
f.
LIMITS OF MACHINE USE
Never lift or transport a load that exceeds the nominal
capacity of the machine or the accessory.
Before lifting the load, check its weight and centre of
gravity. The load diagram inside the cab refers to loads
lifted with forks, whereby the centre of gravity is
positioned at a distance D (indicated on the diagram) with
respect to the edge of the fork.
If the load has a mobile centre of gravity, with liquids for
example, move with precaution as it is not possible to
determine a precise rule.
