6.0 SETTING UP AND ADJUSTING YOUR LAY PRONE STANDER
STOP!
If in any doubt, ALWAYS seek ADVICE
Always turn handwheels, levers and screws clockwise to tighten or
anti-clockwise to loosen. The stander must be fully adjusted by a
therapist or trained representative before use.
5.1 TRAY HEIGHT
To adjust the tray to the correct
height:
•
Loosen the handwheels (A)
located on each side of the frame.
•
Adjust vertically the tray to the
desired height.
•
Re-tighten the handwheels (A).
5.2 PELVIC HARNESS
The pelvic harness can be adjusted
in height and angle
5.2.1 GROSS HEIGHT
•
Loosen the handwheels (B)
located on each side of the frame.
•
Slide the harness assembly to the
desired height
•
Re-tighten the handwheels (B)
5.2.2 FINE HEIGHT AND ANGLE
•
Two handwheels can be found on the rear of the pelvic harness assembly
•
By loosening these, fine height adjustment of the assembly can be achieved
•
By twisting the assembly while the handwheels are loose, minor angle
adjustment can also be achieved
•
Ensure both handwheels are re-tightened when adjustment is complete
5.2.3 USING THE PELVIC HARNESS
•
Prior to transfer, the shorter straps of the harness can be positioned around the
user’s hips.
•
The two longer straps are then threaded through the metal hoops on the pelvic
assembly and secured using Velcro
