Example
This example creates a summary address for all area routes in the range of
10.2.x.x.
area default-cost
This command specifies a cost for the default summary route sent into a stub
or not-so-stubby area (NSSA) from an Area Border Router (ABR). Use the
no
form to remove the assigned default cost.

- Identifier for a stub or NSSA, in the form of an IP address.
•
cost
- Cost for the default summary route sent to a stub or NSSA.
(Range: 0-65535)

Command Usage
• If you enter this command for a normal area, it will changed to a stub.
• If the default cost is set to “0,” the router will not advertise a default
route into the attached stub or NSSA.
