Speed/Duplex
– Allows you to manually set the port speed and duplex mode.
(i.e., with auto-negotiation disabled)

Flow Control
– Allows automatic or manual selection of flow control.

Autonegotiation
(Port Capabilities)
– Allows auto-negotiation to be enabled/
disabled. When auto-negotiation is enabled, you need to specify the capabilities to
be advertised. When auto-negotiation is disabled, you can force the settings for
speed, mode, and flow control.The following capabilities are supported.

- Supports 10 Mbps half-duplex operation

- Supports 10 Mbps full-duplex operation

- Supports 100 Mbps half-duplex operation

- Supports 100 Mbps full-duplex operation

(Combo ports only) - Supports 1000 Mbps full-duplex operation
(Default: Autonegotiation enabled; Advertised capabilities for 100BASE-TX –
10half, 10full, 100half, 100full; 1000BASE-T – 10half, 10full, 100half, 100full,
1000full; 1000BASE-SX/LX/ZX – 1000full)
• Media Type
– Media type used for the combo ports 21-24 (SMC8126L2) or 45-48
(SMC8150L2).
(Options: Coppper-Forced, SFP-Forced, or SFP-Preferred-Auto; Default:
SFP-Preferred-Auto)

Trunk
– Indicates if a port is a member of a trunk. To create trunks and select port
members, see 3-80.
Note:
Auto-negotiation must be disabled before you can configure or force the interface
to use the Speed/Duplex Mode or Flow Control options.
Web
– Click Port, Port Configuration or Trunk Configuration. Modify the required
interface settings, and click Apply.
