Installing SMART Board Software
The Sympodium IM-150 module comes with a SMART Board software CD-ROM for
installation on any connected computer. For complete details on installation and use of the
software, refer to the
SMART Board User’s Guide
, which accompanies the IM-150.
NOTE:
You’ll need to use the computer’s keyboard or mouse to perform the installation,
because your screen is not touch sensitive until you install and open the software.
To install SMART Board software

Press the Power button on the console (if you haven’t already done so).

Close all open applications on the computer.

Insert the SMART Board software CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
The CD-ROM starts automatically. Follow the on-screen instructions.
If the CD-ROM doesn’t start automatically, for the Windows operating systems, select
Start > Run
and enter
x:\autorun.exe
(where x: is your CD-ROM drive), and then click
OK
. For Macintosh computers, open the CD-ROM drive folder, and double-click the install
file.
NOTES:
•
If you’ve connected the IM-150 using a USB connections, be sure to install the
correct Human Interface Device (HID). For more details, read the
SMART Board
User’s Guide
.

If the IM-150 is your secondary monitor but you can’t see the image on the interactive
screen, enable the screen in the Display Properties dialog box

If the console doesn’t connect automatically, activate the port manually. For details,
look in the SMART Board software online Help.

Start SMART Board Tools. Refer to the
SMART Board User’s Guide
or the online Help.

Press the SMART Board icon and select
Orient
to perform a brief procedure that orients
the screen, so your computer can accurately track stylus contact. The Quick orientation
procedure is the default level. However, if you need greater accuracy, use the Standard or
Fine orientation level. Refer to the
SMART Board User’s Guide
or the online Help for more
information.
NOTE:
You’ll need to orient each computer that’s connected to the IM-150.
