Sympodium IM–150 Installation Guide

Integrating Components

This section describes how to integrate your room elements with Sympodium IM-150
integration module and connect the console to the X-Port 30 unit. Once it’s connected to the
console, the X-Port 30 unit accepts input from up to three sources and then sends video,
serial and audio output signals to the console and any connected output devices, such as a
projector or room audio system.

The main inputs for the X-Port 30 unit are:

  a main computer

  a laptop computer

an RGB video source, such as a document camera or VCR

The order above corresponds to the order of the icons on the control panel. However, you aren’t
bound by this arrangement. You can connect your components in any way, but keep in mind that
the user might get confused if the control panel icons don’t correspond to the device indicated.

NOTE:

If your video input source transmits any signal other than RGB, you may need a video

scaler to connect your video source to the X-Port 30 unit.

The main outputs for the X-Port 30 unit are:

  the interactive screen

 a

projector

  an external monitor

  a room audio system

WARNING:

Do not connect any video or power cables while your console or your computer is

turned on. Doing so may damage the screen.
