Connecting RPSB 1800 Components
Now that your cabinet is set up and open at the back and all components have been installed
you’re ready to connect the components. The RPSB 1802 is wired very differently than the
RPSB 1800. In the RPSB 1802, all components are connected to the SMART X-Port 10 (rather
than directly to other components) so they can be automatically switched over to an external
PC (or laptop). If you have an RPSB 1802, turn to page 21 for connection procedures. This
section focuses exclusively on a description of connection procedures for the RPSB 1800.
Many cabinet connections are fully pre-wired for you. In some cases, you'll need to complete a
connection (partially pre-wired connections), or you'll be asked to connect both ends of a cable
that comes with an installed component (no pre-wiring). In the wiring diagrams that follow, bold
lines represent supplied cables that are partially pre-wired and broken lines represent
unprovided, component cables that require connection at both ends. Square nodes represent
customer-installed connection sites.
NOTE
: For cables that are fully pre-wired, the numbers in the figure below are for informational
purposes only. You will not see numbered labels on cables that are pre-wired in our factory.
However, you will see numbered labels on those cables that require connection.
This section begins with an integrated wiring diagram for the RPSB 1800, followed by a
comprehensive description of all cable connections in table form. This table is followed by
specific connection procedures, organized by installed component.
