Drill holes in door to suit chosen fixing method. 

For timber doors, core fixings are recommended for maximum security and fire performance. 
For metal doors, machine screws going into an 

8mm (5/16”) tapping plate within the leaf are 

recommended for maximum security and fire performance.

Tighten fixings to a maximum torque of 15Nm (130lbf.in).

If required, fit the external cylinder / cylinder guard (GSS) as directed in separate instructions 
supplied. Note, if fitting a cylinder, the position indicated on the paper template is the centre of 
the operating bar, not the centre of the cylinder body. The operating bar will need to be cut to 
length to engage the lock by 4mm to 5mm (5/32” to 7/32”).

The lock is supplied as non-handed with emergency escape both sides. To disable the 
emergency escape from one side (for example, to prevent entry from the outside when the 
door is locked or to require use of a thumbturn to exit), fit the locking bracket into the slot in 
the face of the lock of your chosen handing (for example, towards the outside of the door).

Assemble the lock as shown below.

Locking bracket screw must be retained with 
Locktite.
