VHB Rail Bracket Installation
This bracket (p/n ST100187) installation is optional.
Installation Guidelines
CAUTION The asset surface must be compliant or be a flat rigid surface.
Rigid, uneven/irregular surfaces are not suited to the VHB rail
bracket mount option.
CAUTION All of the criteria below must be met in
order to proceed with the bracket
installation.

Mount the terminal on a surface within a temperature range of 21° to 38°C.

The ambient temperature must be at least 15ºC and remain above 15ºC while the
VHB tape cures. The curing time is a function of temperature: at 15ºC, the curing
time is 24 hours, and at 25ºC the curing time is 2 hours.

The mounting surface must be clean and free of oil, dirt, and debris.

A painted mounting surface must be free of flaked or blistered paint.

Both the asset surface and VHB tape must be dry and free of moisture.
Attach the Bracket and Prepare the Surface
Required Tools and Materials
You require the following tools and materials to assemble the bracket. These items do not
ship with the kit.

Terminal

Torque screwdriver

Tape measure and tape
Mount the Terminal to the VHB Rail Bracket
1. Place the terminal onto the mounting bracket studs (Figure 52).
2. Attach the lanyard to the center stud, matching the location shown in Figure 52, and
following the order below:

Flat washer

Lanyard (not required if using the rivet option below)

Split washer

Hex nut
