The above mechanisms can also be combined so that a modem can do both Direct IP and email-
based message sending. Provisioning of the modem can also be edited from Iridium’s SPNET portal.
Contact Iridium or an Iridium Airtime Reseller for provisioning.

For modems utilizing the Direct IP gateway, the user’s IP gateway and port
number must be added to the Iridium firewall. This may require an extra
day or two to be provisioned.
