3.23 Mounting the pull rod/suspension
The number of meters of pull rod is mea-
sured.
The pull rods are assembled with splicing
sleeve and by the end closest to the winch
motor an eye joiner is fitted, this is where the
DA 60 mounting set for winch motor is
mounted.
One pulley suspension 433496/433497 is re-
quired for each 3 meters of free-hanging pull
rod so the pull rod is in a level position be-
tween the units.
The splicing sleeves should not move past
the suspension during operation. If needed,
move suspension thereafter.
Pull rods are mounted in the pulley support
grooves.
Mount the ceiling hook in the ceiling and ad-
just the nylon string using the terminal sleeve
so that the pull rod is level.
When the winch motor is entirely closed,
the pull rod must protrude 500mm out from
the last pulley support opposite of the winch
motor.
It is not necessary to use a coil spring. There
is a back-pull of 15-25 kg from each air sup-
ply unit.
To set up a spring it should be pre-tensioned
according to the table below.
Type
Pre-tensioned with [mm]
Outlet
80
Outlet and intermediate plate
92
Outlet and recirculation fan
110
Outlet, intermediate plate and recirculation fan
122
500 mm
The pull rod should be placed on brackets for
support wheels.
The winch motor is run to a fully closed position.
There should be a distance of 500mm from wheel
to spring.
10 mm
Adjust the turnbuckle so that there is a cover of
10mm.
Due to the later adjustment it should only be the
first unit in each row, closest to the winch motor,
that should be connected to the pull rod when first
adjusting.
