OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Starting the Engine
• Recheck throttle control lever operation.
• Ensure that the engine cut-out switch is in the ON position.
• Ensure that the tether cord cap is in position and that the cord is
attached to your clothing eyelet.
NOTE: On the 600 H.O. SDI , if the low battery voltage pilot lamp
is on, battery would not have enough power to start the engine. In
this case, use the manual rewind starter.
NOTE: On either models, 600 H.O. SDI or V-1000 , if the battery
is dead, engine cannot be started. Have the battery recharged or
replaced.

WARNING
Never depress throttle when starting engine.
Emergency Starting
V-1000
There is no emergency starting procedure for this engine type.
600 H.O. SDI
The engine can be started with the emergency starter rope supplied
with the tool kit.
Remove belt guard.

WARNING
Do not wind starting rope around your hand. Hold rope by the
handle only. Do not start the snowmobile by the drive pulley
unless it is a true emergency situation. Have the snowmobile
repaired as soon as possible.
