Step Key Function

Select main menu
Press function key F1
In the main menu the cursor flashes in the Addr. entry field (Address of
the IPM 12 to be selected)..

Select the master IPM 12 to be defined
Use the numeric keypad to enter the IPM 12 pulse meter to be
defined (e.g. Addr. 9)
When programming a chain (two or more masters with respective
slaves) one should start by entering the highest master.
The actual/setup value menu is jumped to, measuring points 1 to 6.

Press next step function key
The actual/setup value menu is jumped to, measuring points 7 to 12.

Select code menu
Press next step function key
The display menu is jumped to.

General remarks

Installation time and effort is reduced with as-
signment of the existing pulse meters to mas-
ters and slaves (groups). In addition to its IPM
12 functions the IPM 12 master unit also mo-
nitors its lower-ranking IPM 12 slave units.
Any faults or warnings from the lower-ranking
IPM 12 slaves are transmitted to the master
unit.
The IPM 12 master units with their IPM 12
slaves (groups) can be defined as a chain
(combining of groups).
When defining a chain one should start by
entering the highest master unit.
If the group consists of just one single IPM 12
unit, it must stand at the beginning or end of
the chain.
